The pipe organ holds a high place in Catholic liturgy and worship.  the Second Vatican Council states: "...the pipe organ is to be held in high esteem, for it is the traditional musical instrument that adds a wonderful splendor to the Church's ceremonies and powerfully lifts up the spirit to God and to higher things." (Sacrosanctum Concilium 120).

We are fortunate to have a beautiful instrument (in sight and sound) which adds splendor and beauty to our liturgical celebrations.  The organ, Opus 153, was built in 2001 by Karl Wilhelm of Mont St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada.  It contains exquisite sounds and beautiful woodwork.  The organ stands to the right of the Our Lady Star of the Sea window and is itself a symbol of our patroness.  The zimbelstern (bell star) is a focal point amidst the waves on the case: Star of the Sea.

The stop list is found below.  Notes from the dedication recital containing more information can be found here.
