OCIA

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a welcoming process for those seeking to deepen their understanding of the Roman Catholic faith. It is designed for adults and children aged 8 and older who are considering becoming Catholic, as well as for those who are already baptized but have not yet completed the Sacraments of Initiation (Eucharist and/or Confirmation).

This journey of faith typically begins in the fall and continues through the Easter season. Participants gather weekly in an atmosphere of prayer, education, and fellowship to explore Catholic beliefs. OCIA is a no-pressure process, offering a space to reflect deeply on this important decision while learning the teachings of the Church.

At the Great Vigil of Easter, adults who wish to be baptized or complete their Sacraments of Initiation are joyfully welcomed into the Church or into full communion.
