Lenten Adoration:

Adoration on the  Wednesdays of Lent, March 13 - April 17, in church from 8 am to         10:00 am.

Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".  During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist.  By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us. In its fullest essence, Eucharistic Adoration is "God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!"

Holy Hour of Adoration and Benediction:

Monday, April 1, 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm in church

                                                                   Lenten Alms Giving:

The three traditional pillars of Lenten observance are prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Almsgiving:  It is a sign of our care for those in need and an expression of our gratitude for all that God has given to us. Works of charity and the promotion of justice are fundamental  components of the Christian way of life we began when we were baptized.

A Cross is displayed in the gathering space with envelopes nearby. Please take an envelope and place your donation to one or more of the organizations in the  envelope and return your envelope during the Holy Thursday Service or on Palm Sunday.

Hello, my name is Jamie Rennert and I am the physical education teacher here at Our Lady Star of the Sea.  I have been taking mission trips to an orphanage in Haiti for the last 10 years.  In the last two years the orphanage had to expand.  They began to build another building and had to stop due to lack of funds.  They currently have no kitchen, dining room, or electricity. With help from our parish their prayers will finally become reality.  Please make checks payable to OLSOS or to Hearts and Hands of Heroes for the orphanage construction.  Thank you!
