Confirmation

Youth Confirmation

Confirmation, one of the Sacraments of Initiation alongside Baptism and Eucharist, completes the grace of Baptism through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It equips young Catholics for active participation in the life and mission of the Church.

Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year program, typically beginning in 7th grade and culminating with the sacrament at the end of 8th grade. Following the Ascension Press CHOSEN curriculum, students explore their Catholic faith through readings, videos, and weekly challenges that encourage them to live their faith in action.

The program includes print and digital resources for home-based learning, as well as focused Masses and parish events to help families encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and witness God’s love. At the conclusion of this journey, young people are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and sent forth to share the Good News with the world.

Adult Confirmation

If you are 18 years or older, baptized in the Catholic Church but not yet confirmed, we welcome you to take the next step in your faith journey. Adult Confirmation preparation focuses on deepening your relationship with Christ and receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit, equipping you to live out your faith fully.

“Preparation for Confirmation should aim at leading the Christian toward a more intimate union with Christ and a more lively familiarity with the Holy Spirit—his action, his gifts, and his bidding—in order to be more capable of assuming the apostolic responsibilities of Christian life. To this end, catechesis for Confirmation should strive to awaken a sense of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, the universal Church as well as the parish community. The latter bears special responsibility for the preparation of the confirmands.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, #1309)
